There is a lot of people who think they are born smart but as they get older, they tend to lose their strength, memory power, etc. why? Because most of them think they are smart but they will never polish their mind to learn something new as they get older.
We can’t say that smart people are born smart but what I can tell you is that you can get smarter as you get older without losing your mental strength by simply following the hacks that I listed below. So, if you want to be smart then you should follow what I have found to be really helpful and that made me a little more confident in life and I would like to share my knowledge with you guys.

1. Read Books on a regular basis
Reading books can help you to gain more knowledge that can make you smarter than you were before. According to researchers reading books regularly can not only boost your memory power but also help you in becoming more empathetic towards other people’s perceptions, understanding the world better, and many other such benefits that you’ll notice as you start reading. So, if you want your brain to keep working and generate more new ideas for you then start reading from today.
2. Keep your mind open
What makes smart people different from other normal people is that they keep their minds open to other’s opinions and they listen to as much knowledge they can gather. It is because smarter people know when to speak and when not to speak and they gather information from every aspect of life. If you want to be smarter then you must listen to other person’s opinion, they may provide you with valuable knowledge which can change your life.
Blocking your thoughts that you know more than them is called an ignorant who takes their ego on the line and never learns from anything.
3. Learn something new every day
Everything you do in your daily life teaches you something precious, it is only up to you to find what that lesson was by reviewing your overall day and what you learned today. Smart people know how to keep track of their habits and every new day brings new responsibility, so go out and explore and see what you were missing that you didn’t see.

Puzzle games that are a little tricky to solve can help you to be smarter as it helps you to enhance your solving skills a lot faster. Playing games may sound a little off but mark my word give it a try to play a puzzle game and you’ll know why you should play it and why you didn’t realize it before. Studies tell us that puzzle games or any sort of games that are complex and hard helps you to think more and generate new ideas to solve them faster. It can not only help you in the puzzle game but also in your day-to-day life to think faster than before.
5. Go out and Travel
Get out of your bed and travel as much as you can because traveling helps learn more about this world which can help you to be smarter. Traveling not only means that you should go abroad, no it means that you should take time to explore new places near you or if you can then you can go for a long drive. Meet new people and learn new things from them as everyone in this world is unique in their own way.
6. Develop a skill
If you wish to be smarter than the rest then you should definitely develop a skill that you can master and learn so that it becomes your core skill to make a difference. According to researchers, people who train on a daily basis are said to improve their brain and they catch up on things much faster than those who don’t work for a skill. So, why waste your time in thinking, just grab a field you’re interested in and stay consistent with your work, you’ll definitely notice a great change from within.
Physical exercises not only keep your body fit but also helps your brain to stay fit. According to a 2010 study, it was observed that most of the people who exercise regularly have a better ability to solve complex problems than those who don’t exercise at all. 10. Solve hard Math problems
According to researchers from the University of Aberdeen and the National Health Service (NHS) Grampian in Aberdeen with the collaboration of the National University of Ireland have found that solving complex math problems not only improves your brain cells in functioning better, it also helps in preventing mental decline as we age. As we get older, our minds and body tend to lose their strength which may lead to memory loss, etc. but if we practice solving math problems or complex problems our brain tends to maintain its strength even when we age.
Discipline is a great way to generate a good habit which can help you to be organized in life and also make you smarter. Organize your daily routine by making a shortlist of the stuff that you need to finish by the end of the day. It will give you an idea of what you did in the overall day and help you grow.
12. Frequently Ask Question on things you don’t understand
Asking questions from your teachers, colleagues, parents, etc. is another way of keeping your mind working and also it will help you in the future. Don’t be shy to ask for things you don’t understand, most people get nervous to ask simple things that they don’t know and never ask that questions because most of them think people might laugh at them for asking a stupid question which they regret later on. Smart people frequently ask questions and clear their doubts which is why they are confident in taking charges and have good leadership quality. So, if you want to be smart learn to ask questions that are difficult for you to understand.
